Double Positive!

A linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn't a single language, not one, in which a double positive can express a negative."

A voice from the back of the room retorted, "Yeah, right."

*snicker* Love your blog! Just found your Speechy Keen blog, and followed it over here. I'm an SLP in acute care, too!

The Speech Keen site is actually another SLP's. She hasn't posted in a long time, but thought she was great :)
I am an SLP, but I'm not working in acute care right now-I'm working on my phd. I'm glad you enjoyed this one too!
