The reason (to me) why this is a wonderful picture is that it is a created form. It's closed. And, the form isn't completely visible leaving you to fill in some area with your mind's eye. It looks closed. It's also wavy, and I have a thing about wavy lines.

Some of his other works with light like this remind of wings or look like the bearer of the light is wearing the colors. This one looks like its own body.

I managed to work up the nerve to play with sparklers after watching all the fireworks at Aunt Eileen's. I say "watched", but I think I saw all the fireworks there through the viewfinder of my camera! Even the sparklers, mostly.
